On Friday, North Korea accused American and South Korean intelligence services of attempting to assassinate North Korean President Kim Jong Un. The North's ministry of state security said the CIA and South Korea's Intelligence Service (IS) tried to target Un with "biochemical substances" during his appearances at Pyongyang, Korea's capital. North Korea claims the alleged plot dated back to Obama's time in office and involved a terrorist group, but they did not specify how the plot was foiled or when a new attack will emerge. The allegations follow a unanimous vote by the U.S. House of Representatives to toughen sanctions on North Korean and other countries involved with its development on nuclear and missile programs.
