The Pirates star was speaking to BBC News when he said that he’s a big fan of the James Bond franchise, and it kinda sounded like he threw his hat into the ring as a contender for the role.

But Bloom isn’t holding his breath.

He said they’ll probably do more with Daniel… and if not, they could even pick a woman. But when asked about how he would play the charming spy, Bloom said he do it very English, with sort of a twinkle with muscular dynamic.

Of course, it might be too little too late.

Perhaps had he spoken up a bit earlier he would have a chance… but there are rumors that Idris Elba is tapped to fill Daniel Craig’s shoes.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this one plays out.
