A man leaped over the counter at an Auckland bank in an alleged aggravated robbery on Wednesday, May 3. Waitemata Police released CCTV footage of the incident, recorded at ANZ bank in Glenfield, as part of their investigation on May 4.

Police said the man entered with a firearm and left with a sum of cash.

“As can be seen in the video, he has taken off with a sum of cash and fled the scene,” detective senior sergeant James Bothamley said, as reported by New Zealand Herald.

“This was obviously very upsetting to the staff who were present throughout this incident and they have managed the situation very well.”
