A levee failed in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri, on Tuesday, May 2, as floodwaters in the region continued to rise.

Local officials had been sandbagging because of the rising level of local rivers, but they were running out of supplies, according to a report. The flooding forced the shutdown of many roads in the area.
