Anatomy Meets Augmented Reality In This Classroom

Augmented reality is revealing the human body like never before. The University of Melbourne developed an anatomy lesson, called Augmented Studio, that projects images of the skeleton and the body’s muscles onto a live model. It uses gaming technology and body tracking sensors to follow the model’s movements. Students can touch and move the body for a more interactive experience. Augmented Studio’s creator says the technology can also be used to teach dance, sports, and performance art.
