Tamil Nadu is all set to elect its new CM as counting has begun. As of now AIADMK chief Jayalalihtaa seems to be leading and there is a great possibility that she will form govt in Tamil Nadu yet again. Ms Jayalalithaa hopes to buck tradition and prove exit polls wrong by winning a second straight term as chief minister. Exit polls had predicted that the state will stick to the trend of voting in the opposition party - in this case M Karunanidhi's DMK in a strategic alliance with the Congress. A party or alliance needs 118 seats to form government.
