Political commentator Keith Olbermann had some sharp words about a photo showing former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and musicians Ted Nugent and Kid Rock standing in front of Hillary Clinton’s portrait at the White House Wednesday night.
Olbermann tweeted about the president, “He let Palin, Nugent, and other Trailer Park Trash pose in front of the WH portrait of HRC. Trump is getting CRAZIER.”
In a following tweet, he says, “Honest to God, had the painting fallen off the wall and hit this Trailer Park Trash trio, the national IQ would've gone up 25 points.”
NPR called the photo, taken by Nugent’s wife, a “likely...dig at Hillary Clinton.”
All three were early supporters of Trump and campaigned for him multiple times. But, according to the New York Times, Palin has indicated online that the president invited her for dinner, and she brought the two musicians as her guest.
She reportedly explained, “Asked why I invited Kid Rock and Ted Nugent, I joked, ‘Because Jesus was booked.’”
Meanwhile, Nugent said on his own Facebook post that the visit was “Glowing all American over the top.”
