Tollywood veteran actress Jyothi Lakshmi passed away today in Chennai. According to industry sources, she died away undergoing treatment for blood cancer. She made her debut on the big screen with the Tamil film Periya Idathu Penn in 1963. She was known for her item songs and negative character. She was famous for playing the ‘bad girl’ in the ‘70s.
