Karnataka farmers are protesting in Mandya district over Supreme Court's order of releasing water for Tamil Nadu. Supreme Court on Monday had asked Karnataka to release 15,000 cusecs of Cauvery water daily to Tamil Nadu for the next 10 days. The Cauvery Horata Samiti in Karnataka has called for a bandh in Mandya.
