Ajinkya Rahane took a one-handed brilliant catch at the slips to dismiss Joe Root. Rahane took a brilliant left-handed catch first slip catch to remove Root off Jadeja. Root's presence at the crease meant the visitors could still fancy their chances in the match, that was mostly dominated by the Indians.
