The British Royal Navy said it was escorting a pair of Russian warships through the English Channel on Saturday, April 15, after spotting the ships in the North Sea on Friday.
Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said the frigate HMS Sutherland was tracking the two Russian ships, Steregushchiy-class corvettes Soobrazitelny and Boiky. The Royal Navy said the warships had been joined by a Russian support tanker and an ocean-going tug.
