Twenty-eight protesters were arrested outside the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, in Livermore, California, on Friday, April 14. The protest is held annually on Good Friday to protest the lab’s involvement in building military weapons.

Protesters told NBC Bay Area reporters they want the lab to thrive, but wish operators would shift from nuclear weapon development to green energy.

This video, taken by a reporter with local news station KPFA, shows federal police arresting the demonstrators for “unlawful assembly.”
