Candied Sweet Potatoes or sugery sweet yams!
I grew up eating candied sweet potatoes and I love these so much.
My mother taught me how to make these and it is a tradition at our home to have them. We never have any leftover.
These are the best Candied sweet potatoes ever.

Here's the recipe..
Ingredients:
4 mediun size sweet potatoes (شکر قندی)
2 tbsp butter or ghee
4 cups water
1 cup brown sugar (پِسا گُڑ)
1 cup regular sugar (چینی)
½ tsp cinamon powder (دار چینی)
¼ tsp salt
Method:
Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1 inch slices.
Add water and melt the butter or ghee in a pan and add the brown sugar and regular sugar.
Mix the sugar, add cinnamon powder and salt. Add sliced sweet potatoes. Cover the lid and cook on medium to low heat. At 15 minutes mark they should be tender but a little hard around the edges. Also the sauce will turn thick. You will need to stir occasionally during the cooking. At the 30 minutes they are completly done and sauce will dark and thicker. Serve hot. Njoy!!
