He helped the Gujarat bowler Basil Thampi by finding his lost shoe. In the tenth over of the match against Gujarat Henriques hit a ball down the ground. Bowler Basil Thampi tried to stop it but in the process, he lost his shoe. Warner helped Basil Thampi after the bowler lost his shoe and in a good gesture he handed the shoe back and completed his run. The entire stadium in Hyderabad saw the lighter side of the incident. Hosts Hyderabad win the match comfortably by 9 wickets against Gujarat.
