More than 170,000 Americans signed a Change.org petition urging First Lady Melania Trump to move to the White House or front her own security costs at Trump Tower. It costs between $127,000 and $146,000 a day to protect the first lady and her son Barron, according to Police Commissioner James O’Neill. And when Trump is in town for a visit, the city pays more than $308,000 "The U.S. taxpayer is paying an exorbitant amount of money to protect the First Lady in Trump Tower, located in New York City. As to help relieve the national debt, this expense yields no positive results for the nation and should be cut from being funded," the petition reads. The petition, which calls for 200,000 signatures, will be delivered to Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
