Technically, you're supposed to stay with your flight group and engage the X-Wings first, but I've found it easier to take out the Y-Wings, and then immediately start targeting the heavy lifters. You're supposed to lose your flight leader in this mission, but that doesn't always happen. Otherwise, the primary and secondary objectives are totally doable while completely solo. The bonus objectives, on the other hand, is a different story.
