Ingredients:-
Oil for Deep frying
Rum (Optional)
Marination:-
250 grams boneless chicken
1½ tsp chili sauce
1 ½ tsp soya sauce
¼ tsp pepper powder
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
2 to 3 tbsps corn flour
2 to 3 tbsps plain flour
¼ tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
Seasoning:-
½ tsp soya sauce
1 tsp red chilli sauce
½ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp pepper powder (optional)
¾ to 1 tsp vinegar
½ tsp. sugar
Veggies:-
1 medium onion thinly sliced or cubed
2 tsps garlic chopped
¼ to ½ cup cubed bell pepper
1 to 2 green chilies slit and deseeded
1 sprig of spring onion chopped (optional)
4 to 5 leaves of celery chopped finely (optional)
Spring onions for garnish
Method:-
1. In a bowl take the chicken, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli sauce, red chilli powder, soy sauce, black pepper powder and marinate the chicken properly.
2. Let the chicken marinate for 2 hours and then add corn flour, wheat flour and salt to it. Mix it well till the chicken is coated with the flour.
3. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the coated chicken till crisp.
4. In a bowl, take red chilli sauce, red chilli powder, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, salt and black pepper and mix well to create a sauce.
5. Heat oil in a wok at high flame and add onion, garlic, bell peppers and green chillies while tossing continuously. Then add the sauce and toss in the chicken.
6. Take some rum and pour it over the cooking chicken for a smoky flavour.
7. Turn off the flame and garnish with parsley and green onions.
