By MICHAEL J. de la MERCEDMARCH 20, 2017
Bank of America has poached a top rainmaker for financial services companies from Morgan Stanley.
Eric joins us from Morgan Stanley where he was most recently co-head of the Global Financial Institutions Group.
Mr. Bischof was previously co-head of Morgan Stanley’s financial institutions banking
practice, where he served as a longtime deal maker for big insurance firms.
The hiring, announced in an internal memorandum on Monday, comes amid a potential rise in mergers among financial
institutions as the Trump administration signals it will loosen regulations governing such combinations.
He also advised the Fortress Investment Group, the private equity firm, in its $3.3 billion sale to the Japanese technology giant SoftBank.
