Today on Face the Nation, Ted Cruz got really real about the debate over the GOP’s so-called “phased” repeal and replace plan that doesn’t repeal Obamacare.

He said it’s not going to happen, that you can’t get eight Democrats to agree to say “good morning” much less cut a deal, and that the idea it will all be fixed in phase three is handing Americans a “sucker’s bucket.

“That ain’t gonna happen. It’s their so-called ‘three bucket’ solution, which is all the good stuff is in bucket three. Bucket three takes eight democrats. Right now Senate Democrats are opposing everything. You can’t get eight democrats to agree on saying ‘good morning.’ Anything in bucket three … I call bucket three the “sucker’s bucket.” And what I have been urging the President and the administration, and leaders in both houses: take everything in bucket three, put it in bucket one, we’ve got to actually fix this problem.”

STOP MAKING SENSE, SENATOR.

That’s not how government works.
