‘Sar-e-Aam’ team helps police arrest kidnappers of teenage girl

KARACHI: On indications of ARY News’ Sar-e-Aam team, police recovered an abducted girl from a guest house located in Darakhshan police jurisdiction in Defence while arresting two abductors in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

The Sar-e-Aam team had received a tip-off through its sources in Lahore that relatives of the girl in exchange of money have sold her to an owner of a guest house located in Defence Society’s Darakhshan area.

The Sar-e-Aam team accompanied by policemen raided the guest house and recovered the girl.

A case of kidnapping has been lodged against two suspects, detained during the raid, and the girl has been shifted to a shelter house.

Meanwhile, police arrested five suspects including drug-peddlers, extortionists, and Afghan nationals involved in various crimes in an overnight operation, seizing weapons and narcotics from their possession.

According to police sources, cases have been lodged against the arrested accused and investigation has been underway.
