Team Israel shocked viewers at the World Baseball Classic, continuing its undefeated streak. The country's national baseball team managed to pull off an upset victory against Cuba, winning 4-1. Israel's baseball team came in 41st in the world, being the lowest-ranked team to qualify for the tournament. While most of the team are comprised of American minor leaguers, there is one Israeli on the team. This is the first year Israel's national team made it to the tournament, after narrowly missing qualifications in 2012.
