Police foiled an attempt by Islamic State (IS) operatives in the country to carry out an attack during a visit by Saudi King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud to Kuala Lumpur last week.
Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar said seven suspects - four Yemenis, an Indonesian and two locals - were arrested between Feb 21 and 26 by Bukit Aman Special Branch's Counter-Terrorism division.
He said the men were planning to attack the Arab royalty and his entourage in the city.
