One bitcoin is now worth more than the cost of one ounce of gold. According to Coindesk’s Bitcoin Price Index, the bitcoin reached to $1,273, while an ounce of gold is worth $1,244. Bitcoin’s market capitalization also surpassed $20 billion for the first time in bitcoin’s history. There has been speculation that a bitcoin ETF would be approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission in the following weeks.
