Jimmy Kimmel opened the 89th annual Academy Awards with many jokes, including one taking aim at President Trump. The host took a jab at the president for calling Meryl Streep "overrated" in a tweet only a few weeks ago. Kimmel pointed out the actress in the crowd, as she playfully attempted to hide behind her husband Don Gummer. Kimmel then garnered a massive applause for the three-time Oscar winning actress. As a parting joke, Kimmel added, "Nice dress by the way – is that an Ivanka?”
