After being torn apart by critics upon release, Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer, just became an Oscar-winning movie. The film walked away with an Oscar for "Makeup and Hairstyling" during the 89th Academy Awards on Sunday night. Alessandro Bertolazzi, Giorgio Gregorini, and Christopher Nelson accepted the award on stage. During his acceptance speech, Italian-born English makeup artist Bertolazzi dedicated the award to immigrants. “I’m from Italy, I work around the world. This is for all the immigrants," Bertolazzi said.
