Researchers in New Zealand used underwater cameras captured the secret lives of dolphins.

The research was a joint effort between the University of Sydney and the University of Alaska. The cameras captured rarely-seen activities, like dolphins playing with kelp and mothers interacting with their calves. Researchers attached the cameras, which racked up a total of 535 minutes of activity, to the dolphins with suction cups.  Hopefully, this new, discrete way of filming wild dolphins will help marine conservation efforts.
