A funny video has emerged of kids trying to write exact instructions for their father to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, with little success.

The footage, shot by YouTuber Josh Darnit last month in San Diego, CA, USA, shows Johnna and Evan taking turns trying to help their dad create a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

However, Josh follows the instructions to the letter, leading to funny fails.

Eventually, Johnna manages to write the clearer directions and wins the challenge.
