On Thursday, President Trump referred to the removal of undocumented immigrants as a “military operation.”
In speaking to a group of manufacturing industry executives, he said, “We’re getting gang members out, we’re getting drug lords out, we’re getting really bad dudes out of this country. And at a rate that nobody’s ever seen before...”
He continued, “...it’s a military operation because what has been allowed to come into our country. When you see gang violence and you’ve read about like never before, all of the things, much of that is people that are here illegally. And they’re rough and they’re tough but they’re not tough like our people.”
Trump also took a moment to commend the work of U.S. Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.
