An old red ant, Lal Buddha, accidentally falls on drama queen Kaali Bahu who exaggerates the incident which leads to a war between the two colonies. Cheenti Cheenti Bang Bang is the story of these two warring kingdoms of ants mainly the red ants and the black ants. However, Lohit, the Red Prince falls in love with Krishna, the Black Princess. Will these two young hearts be able to avert the war at hand, bring peace between the two kingdoms and get married to each other. The film works on the premise that war has never benefitted anyone. It also teaches us that unity and peace is the only solution to humankind. The film features the voices of popular actors such as Ashish Vidyarthi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Asrani and Anjan Srivastava. The six songs in the film have been sung by the likes of Ustad Rashid Khan, Shaan and Shreya Ghosal. It is said that Cheenti Cheenti Bang Bang is based on Lal Kalo (Red Black), a popular Bengali childrens novel by Girindrashekhar Basu.
