When you're mind is racing and you want to get a good night's sleep, the answer may be in your kitchen. A new study published in Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience suggest that eating prebiotic foods could "help you sleep after experiencing stressful events." Prebiotics are a type of fiber that help feed probiotics, which are the "good bacteria that keep your gut happy." A gut that's out of whack can affect more than just your sleep too. "Depleted gut health has been linked to systemic inflammation, obesity, depression, lowered insulin resistance, and numerous digestive conditions."
