A dramatic video has emerged of a tiger whacking a drone to the floor before trying to eat it.

The footage, shot at the Hacienda Napoles zoo in Colombia last year, captures the moment the drone operator flies his device too close to the big cat who swipes it with his paw.

According to the filmer, he miscalculated the distance between the drone and the tiger which led to a "bad drone fail".
