Golden Globe nominee Richard Hatch, best known for his role in the Battlestar Galactica TV series, died at 71 on Tuesday evening. The star reportedly died after his battle with cancer. Hatch battled stage 4 pancreatic cancer, according to the writer and producer of Star Trek Alec Peters. On the original "Battlestar Galactica," Hatch played hotshot pilot Captain Apollo, earning him a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a series.
