Honda is using virtual reality technology to bring Christmas cheer to hospitalized children this holiday season. Using Oculus Rift headsets donated by Microsoft, the children are transported to a virtual sled ride through a wonderland called “Candy Cane Lane.” At the end of the ride the children visit with a virtual Santa who delivers a present as a real gift is placed in the child’s lap. Honda has pledged to donate $1 to the children’s hospital for every Facebook like the video gets.
