Salt Bae refers to a Turkish chef who went viral on Instagram recently by sprinkling salt onto a steak in a particularly flamboyant manner.

The craze is travelling fast too, with Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck mimicking the Salt Bae pose after scoring against Southampton in the FA Cup at the weekend.
