A dog rescued from a South Korean meat farm is adapting to her new life and had to overcome a very heartbreaking challenge – she didn’t know to use a bed.
About a week ago, 14 of the 200 dogs rescued from a South Korean meat farm touched down in Orlando, Florida and were moved to shelters.
One taken in by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay is adapting to her new life and had to overcome a very heartbreaking challenge – she didn’t know to use a bed.
Days ago, the shelter posted a video on its Facebook page that shows the dog, Harriet, falling asleep while standing, as that’s how she and the others slept in their cramped cages.
It wrote, “…she doesn't understand that she can use the bed provided for her.”
A follow-up photo shows Harriet did, indeed, finally curl up on her big, fluffy cushion.
She and the other rescues will be available for adoption in the coming weeks, notes WFLA.
