An Atlanta gas station is refusing to sell a Boston staple until after the Super Bowl. According to SB Nation, 27-year-old Viral Chhabua has suspended the sale of Samuel Adams Boston Lager at his Exxon gas station in support of his Atlanta Falcons as they prepare to take on the New England Patriots in Houston on Feb. 5. The storeowner asserted that the protest isn’t meant to be taken too seriously. “We’re just having fun and enjoying our Falcons run to the Super Bowl,” Chhadua said. Jim Koch, the founder and brewer of Sam Adams, responded with humor to the store’s decision, according to the Boston Globe. "This isn’t the first time we’ve been banned before the big game, and we hope it won’t be the last."
