The Blue Life #232: Keyless Entry Programming Exposed!

Have you ever had to get a replacement key fob your car's keyless entry system? Going to the dealer will cost you over $100 for the new key fob and to have the dealer "program" it for you. Here is how I got 2 new fob's for my 2005 Toyota Sienna that work for $40.

I got them from KeylessOption on Amazon. You can search in Amazon for a key fob for your year and make or you can check out the list of them at: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_dp_s_web_0?ie=UTF8&search-alias=aps&field-keywords=KeylessOption+

I hope this was helpful. I think it is ridiculous that they charge so much to open the door and insert the key a few times. I am not sure about the longevity of these keyfobs, but I would imagine the programming is exactly the same if you were to get an OEM one. Also keep in mind that there are some keys that have to be programmed by the dealer, but a simple google search should help identify which.
