10 most awaited Bollywood films of 2017 & Release date

1. kaabil - 25 january
The trailer of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ has already got the audiences hooked. Both Hrithik and Yami

Gautam play visually impaired characters in the thriller. The film revolves around Hrithik’s character, who

wishes to avenge his wife’s rape and murder. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the movie will hit the theatres on

January 26, 2017 alongside ‘Raees’. It remains to be seen which film reigns supreme in the first box-office

clash of 2017.

2. Raees - 25 january
Shah Rukh Khan, sporting 'surma' in his eyes, a 'taaviz' around his neck, a generous stubble and oodles of

attitude, not only demands but deserves attention. Ever since the 'Raees' teaser was released in 2015, SRK

fans have been eagerly waiting for the film. Moving away from the role of a quintessential romantic hero,

Shah Rukh plays the role of a bootlegger who lives on his own terms. Set in 1980s Gujarat, ‘Raees’ will have

SRK in the titular role. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani

actress Mahira Khan.

3. Jagga Jasoos - 7 april
Yes, we know, this one has been a long wait. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif started shooting for ‘Jagga

Jasoos’ in 2013 but the film suffered several delays. While RK Jr and Katrina parted ways earlier this year,

the two continued to shoot for the Anurag Basu film. Now, the audience is looking forward to seeing the ex-

couple sharing screen space. The delays notwithstanding, Anurag’s talent as a director cannot be overlooked.

Here’s hoping the director lives up to our expectations when ‘Jagga Jasoos’ hits theatres in April 2017.

4. Bahubali-The Conclusion - 28 april
Baahubali is unarguably the most awaited movie of 2017. Though it is not a Bollywood movie, we are giving

it special mention as the Hindi version of the movie is expected to be a huge hit at the Box Office. Well, we

will get to know, ‘Kattappa Ne Baahubali Ko Kyun Maara’.

5. Tubelight - 26 june
The director-actor Jodi of Kabir Khan and Salman Khan are all set to reunite once more after Ek Tha Tiger

and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Titled as Tubelight, the movie will release in Eid 2017. Salman will undergo a

journey of enlightenment from India to China in the movie.

6. The ring - 11 august
Whether it is 'Jab We Met’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’ or ‘Rockstar’, Imtiaz Ali is known to make romantic films that tug

at your heartstrings. So when the director and the ‘King of Romance’ Shah Rukh Khan decide to collaborate

on a project, you know you’re in for a joyride. ‘The Ring’ has Shah Rukh playing the role of a tourist guide

while Anushka Sharma reportedly plays a Gujarati girl. The film is currently being shot across Europe.

7. Robot 2.0 - 19 oct
The sequel of Robot will see a first-time collaboration of Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar, who will play the

baddie. Akshay’s villainous character will even try to demolish and destroy the Red Fort and the Indian

Parliament. Directed by Shankar, the movie will also feature Amy Jackson. Robot 2 will theatres in Sep

2017.

8. Golmal again - 19 oct
Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are finally reuniting for Golmaal 4. Being a sequel of India’s most famous comic

franchise, Golmaal 4 makes it to the most awaited movies of 2017.

9. Padmawati - 17 nov
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is reuniting with Deepika and Ranveer for the third time after Ram-Leela and Bajirao

Mastani. The movie also stars Shahid Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari. Like most of SLB movies, Padmavati

will be grand. It will hit the theatres on 17 Nov 2017.

10. Tiger zinda Hai - 22 dec
A sequel to 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai brings back Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif

together again. The movie will be directed by Abbas Ali Zafar and is scheduled to release on 22 Dec 2017.
