Police in San Sebastian have arrested a Moroccan national suspected of being the leader of an Islamist cell in Spain.

Authorities say the man used his status as a boxing instructor to recruit and indoctrinate vulnerable young people.
Police claim the individual had been recruiting for ISIL since 2010.

The suspect, who has not been named, posted his allegiance to jihadist groups on social media.
The Spanish and Moroccan security services collaborated on the operation and the arrest is thought to be linked to seven arrests made last November in the French cities of Strasbourg and Marseille.
