At least 37 people have died after a Turkish cargo plane crashed in a residential area near Kyrgyzstan’s Manas airport.
Officials say the Boeing 747 ploughed into houses in a nearby village as it was attempting to land in dense fog.
The ACT Airlines operated jet reportedly mowed through the village for a few hundred metres, destroying several buildings before coming to a standstill.
Most of those killed were local residents, including a number of children, officials say.
The plane had been en-route from Hong Kong to Istanbul with a refueling stop in Manas airport, northwest of the capital.
