A 200 gram wombat who could barely open her eyes has been welcomed to her new home at a sanctuary for wombat orphans.
The Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary took in the tiny Rosie in Gundaroo, New South Wales, late in December.
“Both eyes have opened and she has just gone over 200 grams,” carer Donna Stepan said.
“Wombats do not have a particular breeding season. Hence why there is such a variety of sizes/ages coming in all throughout the year. Credit: YouTube/Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary via Storyful
