Robert De Niro applauded Meryl Streep for her fiery and passionate acceptance speech at the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. “I have so much respect for you that you did it while the world was celebrating your achievements. I share your sentiments about punks and bullies. Enough is enough," De Niro wrote in a letter to Streep. In her speech, the three-time Oscar-winning actress confronted Donald Trump, without even mentioning his name once. Aside from being long-time friends, De Niro and Streep have co-starred together in four films starting with "The Deer Hunter" in 1974.
