‘MERICA — U.S. President Barack Obama Thursday announced like plans to retaliate against Russia for allegedly hacking the Democrats during the 2016 election.

Obama expelled 35 suspected Russian spies from the country, reported the New York Times, and placed sanctions on Moscow-based spy agencies.

The soon-to-be ex-POTUS also ordered the closure of two Russian luxury compounds in Maryland and New York, reported Reuters, for being suspected intelligence bases.

Russia denied the accusations and has vowed to strike back against the U.S.

In response to the news, U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump said it was time for Americans “to move on to bigger and better things”, in a statement.
