ESPN's Monday Night Football (MNF) telecasts haven't went over all that well with viewers this season. The network has seen its smallest audience for Monday Night Football in 2016 since the 2006 season. Monday's Cowboys-Lions matchup drew an average of 18.6 million viewers, the most ESPN has seen in a MNF game since 2014. This helped ESPN record an average of 11.4 million viewers for its 17 games this season, which is just a nudge above the 11.2 million average during the 2007 season, according to Nielsen data. 2016 marks the third consecutive year that MNF ratings have declined.
