While all these years, Amitabh Bachchan made a conscious effort to avoid coming face to face with his alleged paramour and co-star Rekha, at the recently held Screen Awards, Big B surprised everyone when he publicly greeted the veteran actress. Bachchan Senior greeted the evergreen diva with a Namaste and a warm smile and much to the onlooker's surprise, his wife Jaya Bachchan too met her one-time rival with great fervour at the do. It was a scene to remember as Jaya clasped Rekha's hand and smiled at her. Adorned with jewels, both the actresses looked gorgeous in their saris. The three actors came together for Yash Chopra's 1981 release Silsila however, post that neither Big B nor his wife worked with Rekha. In fact Rekha always received a cold shoulder from the Bollywood's power couple in public, reason being her alleged affair with the Shahenshah. But with this public cordiality, it seems that the 33-year-old Silsila has finally come to an end.
