Arjun Kapoor, who had played a Hindu boy who falls in love with a Muslim girl in his debut film Ishaqzaade, opened up about his opinion on the Love Jihad movement recently during an event related to his latest film Tevar.

When asked to comment on the movement, Arjun said, ''India is a democracy and everyone has the right to hold an opinion, but the same should not be enforced on others. We are in 2015 now and we should be mature enough and sensible enough to understand that love should be pure and that one should love someone for who that person is and not for things like caste or religion. After all, we don't fall in love with someone based on his/her ration card.''

Arjun is seen playing a kabaddi player from Agra in Tevar, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee.
