"Delhi" by late Khushwant Singh was first published in 1990. It is a historical novel. It is subtitled "A Novel." According to the author, it took him about 25 years to complete this novel.

In his humorous style, the author once said that history provided him a skeleton and he covered it with flesh and injected blood and a lot of seminal fluid into it.
