Donald Trump has held Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter in low esteem since at least the late 1980s, and it appears time has not tempered that opinion, reports CNN Money.
Following Vanity Fair’s very poor review of Trump Grill, located in the Trump Tower lobby, the president-elect lashed out at Carter.
On Thursday, he tweeted, “Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @VanityFair Magazine. Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!”
Highlights from the restaurant assessment, written by Tina Nguyen, include calling the Szechuan dumplings “flaccid” and likening the presentation of a steak to, “a dead body in a T-boned minivan.”
She also wrote, “If the cheeseburger is a quintessential part of America’s identity, Trump’s pledge to ‘make America great again’ suddenly appeared not very promising. (Presumably, Trump’s Great America tastes like an MSG-flavored kitchen sponge lodged between two other sponges.)”
In response to Trump's presumed reaction to the review, a Twitter user noted, "God's nightgown! You have nothing else to do but attack if someone hurts your tender snowflake feelings?"
