Mexico’s Colima volcano erupted twice on December 13, emitting two columns of steam and ash over Jalisco and Colima provinces.

Jalisco’s Civil Protection agency said in a series of tweets that one of the columns was over 6,000 feet high and warned residents of the western Mexican province to avoid contact with the volcanic ash.
