Till a few months back, there was a big buzz about the fact that Salman Khan's film Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan's film Raees would clash at the box-office on Eid this year before the makers of 'Raees' decided to shift the release date.

However, Shah Rukh Khan claims that the date was shifted not because they wanted to avoid a clash, but for a different reason altogether. The King Khan revealed that due to his injury, the shooting of Raees had got delayed by 8-9 months and as a result of this, Raees could not be completed in time to release on Eid and was thus shifted to January 26.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan, revolves around a clash between a bootlegger from Gujarat and a cop obsessed with bringing down his empire.
